Rapper, producer, DJ, and activist MH The Verb has roots all across the country. In New York City where he was Harlem born & raised. In South Florida where he went to one of the most acclaimed Art Schools in the country.
As an urban studies major at the Univ of Pittsburgh, MH formed the hip-hop fusion band The BNVz (also known as, the Beats N Verbz) and received regional acclaim as music director at WPTS (where he introduced the airwaves to a young Wiz Khalifa).
After moving to Philadelphia in 2010, MH sold out the World Cafe Live for his first album release show and later toured with Kid Cudi, Hypnotic Brass Band, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and The Foreign Exchange.
While in Brooklyn, MH recorded an album about the NYC Subway System and hosted various showcases and DJ residencies including, his signature music + art festival, The A/V Project. (Other highlights included: CMJ Music Marathon, Brooklyn Bowl, The Knitting Factory)
Now, MH manages and serves as art director of the multi-media collective known as ArtHouse95. The Philadelphia-based production crew creates thoughtful and progressive art and curates experiences through collaborative events of community and music. Extended ArtHouse members span the length of I-95 along the east coast (hence the name).
Living in the Bay Area, MH has further developed his sound as a Producer/DJ curating live events for companies like Adobe, Google, and Foursquare. Expanding into video/film production, he is currently working on new visual projects with Shoga Films and Broken Horn Studios. All the while, MH continues to work with organizations to empower young people through art, and is currently gearing up to release new installments of the Afronaut saga.
